With Child Safety Week taking place from 1st to 7th June this year, Cleankill Pest Control is urging landlords to put pest management and prevention plans in place ahead of the next phase of Awaab’s law that comes into force in October. The theme of this year’s Child Safety Week is ‘Making Prevention Possible’ and pest controllers hope the new law will force landlords to take pest prevention seriously and improve the lives of their tenants.

Cleankill Get Festive for Charity

Cleankill staff held another successful fundraising effort during their annual Christmas jumper day and festive lunch.Team members put their hands in their pockets at their Christmas meal and managed to raise £115.00 which the company  kindly topped up to £200.00. This year’s fundraiser for The Royal Marsden was particularly poignant as Cleankill lost two staff members, Tony and David, last year to cancer. Another staff member, Josh, had a cancer scare recently but is thankfully back to full health.

Falconry team member, Denis Beach, is soaring to new heights!

Denis Beach, a key member of the Cleankill Pest Control Falconry team, has passed his Level 2 Pest Control Exam. This exam involves a written and practical assessment covering pest biology. Denis previously spent many years working on dredgers out at sea, but was very happy to get his feet back on dry land so he could spend more quality time with his children. Three years ago, he got into pest control and took to it like a duck to water - especially the falconry side.

A group of Cleankill staff got into the Christmas spirit by volunteering at the Winter Festival organised by The Children's Trust in the grounds of the charity’s national specialist centre at Tadworth Court in Surrey, 

Cleankill signs up to Armed Forces Covenant

After discussions with ex-services employees, Cleankill Pest Control has signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant - a promise to support the Armed Forces community.Around 9 percent of Cleankill’s staff once served in the UK’s Armed Forces. This highlighted to the company that individuals who have trained and served their country share similar characteristics with the role of pest control technician.
