Denis Beach, a key member of the Cleankill Pest Control Falconry team, has passed his Level 2 Pest Control Exam. This exam involves a written and practical assessment covering pest biology.
Denis previously spent many years working on dredgers out at sea, but was very happy to get his feet back on dry land so he could spend more quality time with his children. Three years ago, he got into pest control and took to it like a duck to water - especially the falconry side.
The support from the Cleankill team has enabled him to really excel in the industry, as Denis said: “Cleankill is like a family and everyone is there when you need them. I'm looking forward to this next chapter of working for Cleankill.”
Denis suffers from dyslexia which makes this achievement all the more impressive. He explained: “I have problems reading and writing, but I have had all the help I need from managers and colleagues and all my training has been brilliant.”
Passing this exam opens up many more doors for Denis, meaning he can take on more challenging and diverse work. He recently completed a routine job at a London Stadium. He said: “I have the whole run of the stadium and I’m able to work with my Harris hawk undisturbed to keep the environment pest-free.”
In a short time, Denis has achieved a great deal and it seems there are more great things to come for this keen falconer!
