Eastenders obsessive Richard Quarterly was delighted this week when he bumped into former Eastenders star and semi-finalist in the twelfth series of Strictly Come Dancing Jake Wood.
Richard met the actor while he was exercising one of the birds near their breeding and training centre in Hertfordshire. The actor is often seen exercising his dog and, on this occasion, stopped to talk to Richard about what he was doing.
Leader of the Cleankill Pest Control Falconry Team Alan Day commented: “I often see Jake walking around the village, but I think this was the first time Richard had met him. As an Eastenders obsessive, this was an unmissable opportunity and so he just had to ask for a selfie.
“We are always happy to talk about our birds and what we do. Falconry is a highly efficient, humane and environmentally friendly way to control birds. Our bond with the birds goes very deep as this is not a normal job that you can leave at 5 pm on a Friday, we have to look after them 24/7/365. They are more than pets, they are colleagues.”
