Wasp Close up

Wasps

There must be some people who like wasps, but I don’t think we’ve met any yet. Wasps usually appear, without invitation, in early July and then spend the rest of the summer, and autumn, annoying some people and scaring others. This fear is due to the fact that no one wants to get stung. It’s true that some people have died after being stung by a wasp. Fortunately, this is very rare.

Queen wasps build a new nest each season, with the help of their workers. They prefer dry, concealed locations. Loft spaces, roof cavities, window sills, airbricks and chimney pots are popular wasp hangouts. In fact, the awkwardness of access is the only real factor affecting treatment. As you would expect, we have a variety of application systems at our fingertips, so most nests can be treated quickly and effectively. Peak season is usually July and August. Just call us for a price. You can even pay by credit card!
